1. Introduction

Welcome to the Odds Scanner Cookie Policy (the “Policy”). We, CX Media Ltd, C 94478, Q2, Unit B, Tigne Point, Sliema, TP 01, Malta (“Odds Scanner”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operate the website https://oddsscanner.com (the “Site”).

When you use the Site, cookies and similar tracking technologies may be used to make it work, to analyse traffic and for advertising. Some are set by us and some by our business partners, including service providers and advertisers we work with. This may also involve collecting your IP address.

This Policy explains which cookies and tracking technologies we use, why we use them and how you can manage your choices. You can visit most of the Site without accepting non-essential cookies, but some features need cookies to work. This Policy is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

For how we handle personal data in general, see our Privacy Policy. For questions about this Policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. IP address

What it is. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your device when it connects to the internet. Websites need it to send content to your device. It can reveal your approximate location (such as your country) and your internet service provider. Combined with other information, it may identify you, so we treat it as personal data.

How we collect it. Each time you open a page on the Site, your device sends a request that includes your IP address, so our server knows where to send the content. Our server logs these requests automatically.

What we do with it. Our log files store your IP address with your browser type, internet service provider, operating system, date and time, clickstream data and the pages viewed. We group this with other visitors’ data to produce statistics, such as visitor locations, time spent on the Site, the most viewed pages and search terms used. This helps us run and improve the Site, diagnose server problems and understand visitor trends. We keep IP addresses only as long as needed for these purposes.

3. Cookies

What cookies are. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers stored on your browser or device. It lets a website recognise you across pages and visits and remember your preferences, such as language. Without cookies, every page you open would treat you as a new visitor.

  • First-party cookies are set by us, on the Site’s domain.
  • Third-party cookies are set by another domain, for example an analytics or advertising provider, through the Site.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Through cookies we may collect your IP address, device ID, pages viewed, browser type and browsing information, operating system, internet service provider, timestamps, the referring URL, whether you responded to an advertisement, and the features you use on the Site.

Categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary: needed for the Site to work and to keep it secure, for example to remember your cookie choices, confirm you are 18+ or sign you in. They cannot be switched off.
  • Functionality: remember your preferences, such as language, region or pop-ups you have closed, to give you a more personal experience.
  • Analytics: count visitors and show how they use the Site, such as pages viewed, entry and exit pages, clicks and scrolling, so we can improve it and measure our content and campaigns.
  • Advertising and tracking: record your visit, the pages you viewed and the links you followed, to measure our links to Partner sites and show advertising more relevant to you, on the Site and elsewhere (retargeting). This information may be shared with third parties for these purposes.

Third-party cookies. All cookies currently on the Site are set by us. If we start working with service providers that set their own cookies, such as analytics or advertising services, we will add them to the list above. Such providers may collect information about your activity and the advertisements you click. They may use it to show you advertising based on content you viewed and to measure their own campaigns. We do not control these cookies; please see each provider’s own cookie policy to manage or reject them.

Lifespan. We aim to set cookies, and allow cookies to be set, for no longer than 12 months, except where a longer period is strictly necessary, for example for security.

Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent. We ask for your consent before placing functionality, analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept, reject or choose by category in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time in the cookie settings.

Withdrawing consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings button on this page (linked from the Site footer), or by deleting cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.

Browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; use your browser’s Help section to find them. If you block all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, parts of the Site may not work. Most browsers also offer private browsing, which deletes cookies when you close the window: Chrome (Incognito), Safari (Private Browsing), Firefox (Private Window) and Edge (InPrivate).
